my cat has been sleeping A LOT more than usual lately, almost all day and he makes a lot of sad high pitched noises almost everytime he changes his sleeping position... is that normal?

While Jax's symptoms are non-specific, you are right to be concerned. It is not normal to have such a sudden decrease in energy levels, and the high-pitched noises could indicate pain. I recommend you make an appointment to have Jax seen by a veterinarian near you to help determine what is going on so that it can be treated appropriately. Good luck, and I hope Jax feels better soon!
