How soon after anesthesia can a dog be bred? We have a male miniature poodle that stands at stud and we have a female booked for the next day. I can cancel, if it will affect him or the sperm. Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Poodle | Male | unneutered | 7 years and 7 months old | 11.7 lbs

The anesthesia will likely not affect his sperm or the resulting pups but could possibly affect his libido as most animals are slightly lethargic for 1-2 days after anesthesia. If it was general anesthesia for an invasive procedure such as a dental with extractions or even a mass removal, I would recommend waiting longer although the female may only be breedable from day 12-18 after bleeding (this is not exact).
