Puppy playing with shoes: Can he get parvo? How many more shots?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Lhasa Apso | Male | unneutered | 2 lbs

Pixel has this habit of playing with slippers and shoes... he is 2 months old and has been vaccinated with one 6 in 1 shot along with coronna. How likely is he to catch parvo virus from shoes as it is not possible to clean every shoe with bleach? Also how strong is the 6 in 1 combination shot? Apart from this we give him medicine for immunity as well. How many more vaccination shots are left for Parvo?

Unfortunately Pixel can get Parvo if you unknowingly walk through the virus and bring it in on your shoes. I recommend to leave the shoes outside the house and away from him. Each vaccine gives him some protection but he will not be fully protected until he finishes the whole series. He should be a vaccine every 3 weeks until he is 16 weeks old. I hope this is helpful and please feel free to post any additional questions.
