My dog's eye is injured and third eyelid is showing. Is it serious?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | 1 month and 14 days old | 4 lbs

My lara is attacked by her mother on her eye and her third eyelid cover half of her eye what should I do?? How much time it take her to recover?

Eye problems are always emergencies. You will need to take Lara to your veterinarian for an eye exam. Eye injuries quickly can get worse and can cause vision loss. Please take your dog t the vet today. This could also be a condition called "cherry eye" or prolapse of the gland of the third eyelid which would need to be repaired by surgery.

    I recommend you have Lucy seen by a vet as soon as possible. She is likely in a lot of pain, and needs to be treated to help reduce the risk of infection and to manage pain. I don't recommend you apply any medication to the eye without first confirming with your vet, as some over the counter medications can be harmful to dogs.
