My cat still poops blood after Giardia treatment. What's next?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 13 lbs

Hi! We have 2 cats, an almost 2yo male and 8 month female. in October, we noticed Mouse (the male) pooped blood, so we took him to the vet. They tested his feces and he had Giardia. We treated both of the cats for it, and due to recurring symptoms w mouse they were treated a total of 3 times. (2 times metronitazole and once w panacur). He is still pooping blood. Every time it’s the same: regular turds, a little bit of soft, brighter colored poop, ending with a glob of red blood. What do we do?

The next steps are either abdominal ultrasound and gut biopsy or trying a few different treatments to see if anything helps - namely prescription diets for food allergies or high fiber diets, or medications to treat Inflammatory Bowel Disease (usually steroids).
