Pet's info: Dog | Black Mouth Cur | Female | spayed | 1 year and 3 months old | 50 lbs
My dog has dry skin. I just purchased a new shampoo and lotion (Jax and Daisy) to try to soothe her skin. How often should I bathe her with these products due to her dry skin?

I would recommend starting with twice a week baths for the next 3 weeks, then you can cut back to once every 2-4 weeks for maintenance of the skin. The lotion can be given as needed : ). I would also recommend oral fish oils formulated for pets given daily. EFA3N is my top recommendation here. Fish oils are a natural anti-inflammatory for the skin. Best wishes with your pet Sasha and her dry skin. Take care!

He should be bathed no more than once every 4-6 weeks. Use a pet approved shampoo for puppies. You can use plain, unscented baby wipes or pet wipes to spot clean him in between baths and as needed. An essential fatty acid supplement, usually a fish oil, can be added to the diet to promote healthy skin and coat. Product choices include EicosaCaps, DermCaps or Welactin.
