My cat's stitches won't dissolve after 2 weeks and she's bleeding.

Question

I was told Wednesday of this week that I could take e-collar off today marking 2 weeks. Vet said she would be fine. Still stitches that haven't dissolved. She pulled at them and caused blood. What do I do??? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 7 lbs

That stitch will not dissolve for a long time. It needs to be removed. It looks a bit irritated around the suture but I think overall it looks OK (from what I can tell from the photo). I suggest you take Harley to your vet so they can remove the stitch and check the incision. Usually a post-op examine and suture removal are free. Best wishes.
