My dog has blood red gums. What's wrong and can I treat it at home?

My sisters dog that I got when she passed has blood red gums what can I do for a home remedy to get rid of it?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! There is no home remedy for red gums. You need to take Charlie to a veterinarian to determine the cause of the red gums. There could be something going on internally, like a blood problem, or he could have bad teeth causing gingivitis and dental disease. I would start with a doctor exam to discuss the cause and they may be able to give you treatment options to do at home. Good luck and kisses to Charlie!
