My puppy has loose stool with red in poop. Is it parvo if he's active?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Lhasa Apso | Male | unneutered | 2 lbs

My puppy is really active always. Today morning he passed loose stool with some red stone kinda thing in it. My vet said he has developed stomach infection because of eating his own poop and I need not worry about parvo as he does not have any fever. He has suggested medicines. There is no change in my puppy's activity. Do I need to worry about parvo? Please refer to pics

Hi, has Pixel been treated for worms ? If not, he will need to be treated. To answer your question, feaces don’t look like typicical for Parvo. I would not worry about it but perhaps have his feaces checked for Giardia and other feacal parasites. Hope this helps !
