Poor Grace! If she continues not to eat, I do recommend to have her seen by her veterinarian to be sure there is no illness causing the signs. Could it also be possible she is coming into heat? In general, when pets are ‘off’ and it’s related to being stressed or a change in routine, there are some things you can do to help. Get back in a routine quickly. Dogs are creatures of habit. Give her vigorous exercise every day. Burning off energy helps most dogs to become normal quickly. Set aside 15 minutes a day for training. This helps the brain to be stimulated and they enjoy the extra attention. Start here. If there is any concern for a health issue, she the veterinarian. I hope this is helpful and please feel free to post any additional questions!

Often small behavioral changes and alterations in appetite are the first symptoms that dogs and cats show us when they are ill. This is especially true in older animals such as Fluffy. Depending on how long it has been going on, I would strongly encourage you to schedule a visit with the vet for Fluffy to get an exam and most likely some blood work. They will want to rule out some common illnesses affecting older dogs so that they can be treated accordingly if needed. This does not sound like an emergency so definitely not need to run out now.

Hi there, Abnormal behavior and loss of appetite combined is reason to seek emergency veterinary care. These could be signs of serious illness. I would recommend taking Maggie in for a physical exam as soon as possible. I will hope for the best outcome for Maggie. Best of luck to you.
