My kitten is vocal and squatting. Is she in heat or needs a vet?

My kitten has been much more vocal than normal. She started squatting this morning with her tail to the side, but uses her litter box as normal. Is she just being really chatty, or should I take her into the vet? She's just as playful and nothing has changed other than her being super chatty. I don't want to take her to the vet if nothing is wrong. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 5 months and 26 days old | 3 lbs
