Pet's info: Cat | Maine Coon | Male | neutered | 20 lbs
We had a 4 year old Male Tabby Maincoon cat. For more than a year I over fed him cup fulls of treats (my fault). He started occasionally showing aggression towards my wife. One day when I wasn't home he attacked my wifes leg drawing blood. She opened the door and he ran off. 8 months later, he shows back up in my neighborhood. Could he be trusted again since the treats could of made him "drugged"? Prior to he never showed any signs of aggression. I was giving him Party Mix treats. Thanks.

I hate to hear that story about Rusty. The treats wouldn’t make him drugged or cause him to be aggressive unless he was frustrated that he wasn’t getting any treats. As far as if he can be trusted, that is anyone’s guess. He is an individual just like we all are. Plus who knows what experiences he has been through in the past eight months. You have an equal potential that he could be very good or he could also be aggressive. There are behavioral specialist for cats. Some of them are available over the phone for guidance and other ones can come to your house. It’s a decision you will need to make as far as what will you do with Rusty now. Best of luck with this decision. Please feel free to post any additional questions.
