My dog's front teeth are worn down to the gums. Is she in pain?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed

My dogs front teeth are really worn down, her incisors I believe, to the point that it looks as if they are the same size as her gums. Her canines are fine. I just want to know if everything is okay with her.

Hi, those teeth that are worn down to the gum line probably needs to be pulled out. The pulp of the teeth is exposed and they likely cause a lot of pain and discomfort. Does Eclipse like to chew on tennis balls ? If so, you need to find alternative balls to avoid further damage to her teeth. Hope this helps, thank you for using PrtCoach.
