What effect does early pregnancy has on a young cat’s growth? Which kind of contraceptives would be most suitable for young cats?

Hello. While we do not recommend allowing a young cat to become pregnant on a first heat, with proper nutrition, she should not have any growth problems. Spaying is the ultimate contraceptive, but Melatonin implants can suppress fertility short term while slow release GnRH agonist implants containing deslorelin can be used for short & long term contraception in cats.
