My FPLV vaccinated cat played with a dog. Can she get canine parvo?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 2 years and 11 months old

Is there any kind of vaccine for canine parvo for cats,thanks a lot in advance ,my cat got vaccinated for fplv already but im not sure it can protect her from cpv 2a,cpv2b or cpv2c?? She played with a dog that is having parvo and im too worried.thanks a lot in advance

Parvo is a species specific virus and cats cannot get the dog version of Parvo. Cats do have their own version of a cat Parvo called Panleukepenia. You do need to make sure Anna is kept up to date on this vaccine as she could get the virus from other cats. I hope this is helpful and please feel free to post any additional questions.

    No, it's not the same disease and cats cannot get parvo from dogs. She won't be protected from serious cat illnesses, however, since she hasn't had vaccines since she was young. You will need to update Rosie on them.
