My cat licked tea tree oil. Is it toxic and should I be worried?

Used tea tree oil not diluted and my cat for fleas, he licked it and immediately started to gag, so I washed him and rinsed his mouth with some water, he seems fine no problems other than was drooling a little right after, it's been about 2 hours since and he seems fine just upset with his bath, but I'm still worried. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 3 months old | 10 lbs

Hello. So this now tells you to never use tea tree oil on cats. It is TOXIC to cats. He should be fine with such a minor ingestion, but do not use this around pets, it is just not safe. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
