Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | unneutered | 5 years and 8 months old | 74 lbs

My roommate has a male husky, malamute timber wolf mix who has had cluster seizures since getting hit by car years ago. Vets can't find anything wrong and it's not hereditary we don't know what to do but as of 1/19/19 he has had over ten seizures in the past 48 hrs

I'm wondering if Logan is on medication for his seizures. If he's not, he should be. This many seizures over 48 hours is a lot, and he should see a vet immediately. It may be that if medication doesn't help him with the seizures, letting him go peacefully would be the kindest option. Get him into a vet right away. If he seizures again before you can seek vet care: - Don't put your hands near his mouth - Keep some rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle to spray on the pads of the feet for cooling - Monitor him at all times during the seizure to ensure that he cannot hurt himself by crashing into furniture, etc - If the seizure continues for more than 5 minutes, seek emergency care immediately Best of luck.
