Thanks for reaching out. If you are referring to guinea pig pellets, you should be able to read the ingredients label for nutritional value. Another idea to keep in mind is various vitamins and ingredients degrade over time. A better quality pellets, is likely to be healthier over a longer period of time. Guinea pigs should mainly eat a good quality hay, to decrease caloric intake and the help wear down teeth. Unlimited timothy hay, 1/8-1/4 cup pellets (each) per day, and 1/2 cup various vegetables daily. Keep it simple. Good luck.

The best guinea pig food in my opinion is Oxbow. ( http://www.petlifeonline.co.uk/product/small_animals/oxbow-for-small-animals/oxbow-fortified-feeds/cavy-cuisine/ ) That being said, it is much more important for a guinea pig to have a good, high quality hay than to have pellets/nuggets. Hay should compromise the most part of the diet. ( http://www.petlifeonline.co.uk/product/small_animals/oxbow-for-small-animals/oxbow-hay/western-timothy-hay/ ) Hope this answers your question. Best wishes.

Thanks for reaching out. The best hay for guinea pigs is probably timothy hay. Low is calcium than alfalfa (less bladder stones) and more palatable than barley and others. Vegetables also need to be kept in moderation, probably 1/2 cup of mixed vegetables (greens and red/yellow/orange) daily. Don't forget the vitamin C supplementation. Good luck

Thanks for reaching out about Cosmo and including photos. Kaytee is a good brand, proven nutrition. But the predominant part of a guinea pigs food should be a quality timothy hay. High fiber hay required lots of chewing, thereby providing fiber to wear down the teeth. An average guinea pig should probably have 1/4 cup of pellets daily. That can be divided to twice daily. Good luck.
