Why does my neutered dog constantly hump my leg and blanket at night?

In the middle of the night Saxon takes a bite of my blanket and then mounts my leg, kneading with his front paws and pumping with his hind quarters. He was neutered when he was around 3 months old. This started when he was about 6 months old. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 10 months and 19 days old | 5 lbs

It sounds like Saxon is masturbating. Even though he is neutered, he still may be prone to doing it because it feels good. It's normal behavior, but if you don't want him to do this in the middle of the night, keep him from sleeping in your room. Best of luck.
