My dog eats snow and won't potty outside during his first snowfall.

Iam frustrated ! I’m sick with the flu and this is my dogs first snow fall so all he wants to do is eat snow and not poop! Sometimes not even pee. Once he pees he just stands and stares at me and then playfully runs around me from catching him cause he’s eating snow. I’ve even tried being patience and calm and standing out there longer and i stood outside half and hour NOTHING ! Just him eating snow. So then he proceeds to poop in my house! Help i can’t stop this with all my dogs !

Be patient with Bear. If this is his first snowfall it is very exciting for him and he doesn't fully understand. I would recommend shoveling a small area in the grass for him. Try and rest and I hope you feel better soon. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
