My Boston Terrier yelps when touched and shakes. Is he in pain?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | Male | neutered | 32 lbs

I have a 9 almost 10 year old boston terrier. The problem is, is that he recently started yelping sometimes when you touch him, but after he yelps he's fine. He's also shakes sometimes, but after a while he seems to be okay. Should I be concerned?

This sounds as if Leo is in pain somewhere. Yelping and shaking are a sign of discomfort and pain. You will need to schedule an appointment with your veterinarian for an exam. This may include x-rays and/or blood work.
