Thank you for submitting your question regarding Muggim. I recommend that he sees a veterinarian today. That is a lot of vomiting in a puppy. The milk will not sit well on his stomach so I would stop offering that in the meantime. A vaccine reaction can cause vomiting, but it typically does not last so long. Was he given a deworming medication at the time of the vaccine? A high parasite burden can cause vomiting as they die off. Either way, he needs to be evaluated to determine the cause of his symptoms and how best to treat him. I hope this information helps!

Oh no, poor Spot! If those shots given two months ago were the only shots he received (no follow up boosters), then he will not be fully vaccinated and this vomiting and diarrhea could be due to parvovirus. It could also be due to a severe GI illness, a foreign body, or eating something rotten. It's very concerning that Spot hasn't eaten in three days and is now vomiting and having severe diarrhea, and he needs veterinary attention now. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. Spot needs veterinary care right away.

Oh dear! I'm afraid that this sounds like a serious problem. Not eating or drinking for two days, along with vomiting and diarrhea, is a life-threatening issue in a puppy this age. This could be a severe vaccine reaction, or could be an unrelated illness such as parvo that coincidentally began to show symptoms around the time of the vaccination. Regardless, Boss needs to see a vet right away - he will need IV fluids and other supportive care, as well as medication to control the vomiting. Your vet can do some diagnostic testing to help determine what is causing his symptoms and ensure that the underlying problem is also treated appropriately.

Poor guy. He is having a vaccine reaction it sounds like. Vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy and decreased appetite can occur shortly after vaccines, and commonly within 24 hrs. He needs to be seen by your vet for a steroid shot and Benadryl injection to help stop the reaction from continuing. If he is very lethargic then an ER vet visit is highly recommended. Oral Benadryl may be ok to give your pet if he does not have any contraindications to the medication. Here is a website link with more information. https://www.petcoach.co/canigive/dog/benadryl/ Best of luck with your puppy Spike. I hope he is able to make a full and speedy recovery from his suspected vaccine allergy. It should also be noted for future vaccines that he should get pre-medication with a Benadryl shot to help prevent this form reoccurring. Take care.
