Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 2 years and 7 months old | 9 lbs
My cat bolted when I tried to pick him up and I accidentally grabbed his tail. I felt and heard a pop almost identical to when you pull your thumb to crack it. He's not acting any different and doesn't seem to be in any pain. His tail also looks normal. Should I be concerned or take him to my vet for an X-Ray? What warning signs should I be looking for?

I'd keep an eye on Kirk for now if his tail looks normal and he's acting fine. I'd expect that if his tail was broken, it would be hanging abnormally, he would have trouble moving it, and/or he would be crying in pain. Should any of those signs appear or he starts acting lethargic, then I would take him into the vet for x-rays. I hope this helps.
