Puppy peeing inside from fear after yelling. How to fix potty training?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 25 days old | 2.2 lbs

I am struggling with the potty training, I yelled at my puppy (five months) . For ten days she didnt pee at all inside . Then I yelled at her for peeing in the living room. NOW she pees in front of me on the sofa and on the floor, looking at me fearing that I will yell. I stopped yelling at her two days ago. I dont know what to do. When I carry her her ears go down. She is super happy , playful and allow petting , or she is afraid !

I would check out this website for information on potty training. https://www.pawbark.com/housebreaking-your-new-puppy/ I would not yell at Ray. I would start using positive reinforcement with her to help train her. Thank you for using PetCoach.
