Why is my newly adopted dog honking, shivering, and trying to vomit?

I adopted a dog a few days ago. The first day he was very hyper and active. Although today I have noticed he isn't as active. He seems to be making honking noises and throwing up but swallows it before it comes out. He also lays down and seems to shiver. Pet's info: Dog | Manchester Terrier (Standard) | Male | neutered

Congrats on your new dog, but I'm sorry Scruffy is sick! It could be he is cuffing from kennel cough, which is a highly contagious respiratory disease. I'd have him checked out by a vet for this either today or tomorrow. Rest him, only taking him out to potty and bringing him right back in when he's done. Best of luck.
