My female dog humps my arm. Is it play or dominance? How to stop?

Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Female | 2 years and 8 months old | 12 lbs

My female dog mount my arm , I don't know if she is playing or if is sexual behavior, What I should I do to stop that behavior?

It may be playful behavior, but it can also be due to stress, boredom or dominance. When she does it, offer a stern "No" and gently push her off your arm. Praise and reward her if she complies. If she persists, get up and move or place her in a separate room until she settles down. Be consistent.

    When a dog humps it is usually either a dominance issue or an excitement issue. If there is nothing exciting going on , such as you grabbing the leash for a walk etc., then she is likely displaying her dominance. Don’t let her do this. You may also want to keep her off the bed/ couch / etc. for a while so she does not have the opportunity to get to your arm. Also make her obey a command before feeding or petting her. All of these will subtly remind her that she is not the boss. I hope this helps! Thanks for using Pet Coach.
