My male dog barks frantically at female in heat. How to stop?

18 month old male gsd barking and pawing at 3 year old female gsd in heat she is in heat I want them to have a litter so I just leave them together they mated on the 17th and this morning now she’s laying down and he’s barking and pawing at her and acting frantic he does this all night too and it makes it difficult for me to sleep when I separate them he acts even worse and barks none stop and howls how can I stop this behaviour

Unfortunately you cannot unless you have him neutered. Because she is in heat, he wants to mate with her, and even if he mates with her again, he will continue this behavior as long as she is in heat. My advice is to have him neutered after her heat ends. If you cannot stand this noise, it may be best to have him stay at a friend's house until her heat is over. Best of luck.
