My cat is anxious and over-grooming. Can CBD oil help or what else?

I think my cat has severe psychogenic alopecia, she has intense anxiety through out the day about every little thing, constant grooming, only allows me to handle her. Would you recommend cbd treats or cbd oil to help her? I’ve read a lot on it and it seems beneficial. Also any tips in the mean time to help soothe her sores and to prevent this ? this is the worst it’s ever been. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 16 lbs

Poor Minnie! As of yet, we have very little research on CBD oil in veterinary patients, so we cannot make any recommendations one way or the other about this product - we do not know what an appropriate dose might be, and if there are any potential health concerns or drug interactions in cats. In addition, because it's a schedule 1 drug, it's illegal for us to prescribe or recommend. You can try keeping an Ecollar on her to prevent her from licking more, and a soothing oatmeal bath may help. I'd also have her seen by her vet to see if there are medications that can help her.
