My 9 month old pit bull is pregnant. Before getting pregnant she weighed 45 pounds. She was and impregnated by a border collie. Will she be okay? Is she too young to be a good mom? Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 9 months and 16 days old | 52 lbs

It's not recommended to mate a dog on their first heat because they aren't physically and emotionally mature, but they can be fine giving birth. Because a male border collie is around Morti's weight, it's fine she was impregnated by one. If you don't want any further puppies, I recommend spaying her after her puppies have weaned.
