Why does my puppy have a red spot above his genitals? Is it serious?

Hi there, my 9,5 week old Staffordshire Bull Terrier has a red spot right above his genitals. I am not sure if that’s something serious, or it’ll go by itself. It started about 24hrs ago. I should also mention that I live in Alberta, Canada. So it’s quite cold and he uses the bathroom outside. Please let me know Thank you

This looks like a little bit of an infection. I would wash the area with a mild skin disinfectant, then dry (Do this 3 times a day) and put an e-collar on your puppy, so he cannot lick the area. If it does not subside or gets worse, you should take your puppy to your veterinarian for an exam.
