Ruptured anal gland in dog: healing time, cone, and snow safety?

My dog had a ruptured anal gland and it was cleaned and everything at the vet. How long does it take to heal? How long should she wear the cone? Is it ok that she just wants to sit in the snow at times when outside? Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | spayed | 5 years and 8 months old | 16 lbs
