I’m thinking about breeding my dog when she’s old enough but I’m wondering what the entire cost is of breeding? Like the puppies shots and the female’s vet check before breeding. Also what’s an average cost for male small breed stud? Since she is a three mix breed would it be ok to breed her? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 21 days old | 12 lbs

A typical vet check is between $45-$55 for the office visit and physical. Another other tests would be on top. I will put a link below to Vetco's vaccine prices so you can price that out for puppies. I do strongly recommend you get x-rays at least 45 days after Bailey is mated. That will confirm she is pregnant, and how many puppies she is expecting. You never know if there could be problems giving birth, so save money now in case she needs an emergency c section. That can cost thousands. You have plenty of time to save, as dogs should never be bred on their first heat. You should wait until her second, or better yet, third heat. The cost of the stud dog will vary, you need to speak with people with stud dogs to find out a cost. Finally, it's fine to breed her as a mix breed.
