How to prevent parvo from spreading to my dogs via clothes and shoes?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Australian Shepherd | Male | neutered | 1 year old | 47 lbs

My daughter's dog at her dads house was recently treated for parvo. I'm scared that she will bring the virus home to my dogs. I have her change her shoes before she gets home but all of her other clothes I cant bleach and i cant afford the washing tablets.

If your dogs are vaccinated against parvo, they will be fine. Should they not be vaccinated, get that done asap. It's good that she is changing her shoes, and have her keep clothes at her dad's house and separate clothes at your house if the dogs are not vaccinated.
