My dog has a collar sore. What can I do to help it heal faster?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Bully | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 3 months old | 66 lbs

Hendrix has a small collar sore. I washed it yesterday with medicated dog shampoo (antibacterial + antifungal) and then I put a thin layer A & D ointment on it. I did the same today. Is there anything else I can use to help heal it?. He’s in not in pain or doesn’t wince when I touch it or cleanse it.

Poor guy. This may be all that is needed to get this area to heal; however we would need a picture of the sore to know for sure. Please repost with a picture of the area in question and we will be more than happy to let you know what this needs to heal properly. Thank you and take care!
