My cat was in heat, outside. Is her disinterest a sign of pregnancy?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 2 years old

Hello my female cat was left accidentally outside on the second day of her heat. I guess it was her proestrust stage but she's still on her heats. Does that mean she's not pregnant yet? Today I introduced her to a Persian male cat but she's taking no Interest instead she's hissing at him.

Cats are induced ovulators, which means mating with a male causes her ovaries to release eggs. So there is a possibility Manu could be pregnant. If you want to mate her, you can try to continue to introduce her to the Persian male, and I would bring her into the vet 45 days after that first time outside for x-rays to confirm if she's pregnant or not. I hope this helps.
