Hi, we adopted a dog recently from BARCS and noticed her nipples and vulva is swollen. She doesn’t not have discharge but we are wondering why she is swollen. She was spayed 6 days ago

There is a possibility that she was in heat when she was spayed. The swellings are caused by female hormones and it will take a week to two weeks for the hormones to leave the body and the swelling to go away.
