Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 4 years and 2 months old
My cat has a really weird habit when she comes back from her outdoor trips. She licks herself very aggressively and her fur jumps/twitches like there's something on her back. She licks herself then runs around in a very irritable manner, struggling to sit still. When i check her fur or brush her out, i dont notice anything on her and we do use Fiprotec drops for flea prevention. Could there still be fleas on her or any type of insect or plant causing this reaction?

There could be something else causing this weird reaction besides fleas. I would try a different flea preventative like advantage or comfortis (oral) to see if this makes a difference (if you have this in your area). You could also try benadryl (diphenhydramine) twice a day or just an hour before she goes outside to see if this helps. See link below. You could also look up hyperesthesia. Granted these cats tend to always have the weird twitching of their fur and weird behaviors, but it is something to look into. I hope this helps! https://www.petcoach.co/canigive/cat/benadryl/#
