My dachshund is pacing, crying, uncomfortable. Should I see a vet?

Hello! My miniature dachshund is generally the most loving, excited puppy but very anxious, his favorite place to be is sleeping in bed with me, and this morning he got out of bed early and started pacing around on the floor and whenever I would put him in bed with me he would lay for a few minutes and quickly jolt up to get on the floor. He ate and went to the bathroom. But he has been laying on me all afternoon and every couple of hours still jolts up and lets out a small cry. What should i do

Poor little Wallace. I am concerned that the crying and the unusual activity indicate his is in discomfort or doesn’t feel good. I recommend to have him seen by his veterinarian today ideally. Dachshunds are prone to back injuries and the vet will check him over to make sure all is ok. Always better to be safe. I hope this is helpful and please feel free to post any additional questions.
