Pet's info: Dog | American Bulldog | Male | neutered | 67.5 lbs
Hello, my dog has several red spots on him that came out of no where on his back. They are flat, unraised, but are red. I’d say there’s two clusters with about 7 red spots in each cluster that goes down his back. He hasn’t been scratching, so I’m wondering if it may have something to do with the “doggy perfume” they put on them at the washers. I have some chlorohexidine shampoo and some 2 in one shampoo and conditioner for dandruff (Mane and Tail). I was wondering if this may help. I have pics

Dogs can get lesions like from a few things but the most common are due to bacteria or ringworm (which humans can get). The bacteria could be a reaction to the perfume but it could be due to many things including just a random infection. I think the Chlorohexidine shampoo would be the best option. Use it on the lesions every other day. Remember to allow ten minutes of contact time before rinsing it as this will maximize the effect. make sure he's not scratching at them. If the lesions don't get much better within 7-10 days or if you see they are getting worse, then have him seen by the veterinarian. I hope this is helpful and please feel free to post additional questions.
