My puppy's poop has a grey film. Should I be worried or concerned?

Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Male | neutered | 4 months and 17 days old | 60 lbs

My puppy just went poop and it seems to almost have a greyish film on it. What could this mean?

This could be due to the presence of mucous coming from the last part the intestine. It may be compatible with colitis, which is an inflammation, usually dietary related. As a first approach, I would suggest to start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up if the signs persist or you notice diarrhoea, vomiting, lethargy or inappetence.     Hi, has Bentley been wormed regularly ? If so, I would not worry.. the mucous film is just related to what he has eaten and he has been digesting in his tummy. If he hasn't been wormed I recommend to see a vet and bring over a poo sample.
