My puppy is 8 weeks old and has soft stool with a spot of blood, is that normal? She is still very playful, drinking water and eating.

Hello, thank you for your question. Soft stools with some blood could be a sign of intestinal parasites which is not uncommon in puppies. I would recommend contacting your veterinarian tomorrow to discuss submitting a stool sample for testing and to consider deworming her. If there is only a small amount of blood this could be secondary to inflammation within her colon/GI tract. Hope this helps!

I would recommend having your veterinarian check a urinalysis and fecal on Bonnie. Is the stool normal or soft? Sometimes if the stool is soft they cannot hold it and it seems like they don't know they are defecating. It can be something like a urinary tract infection and/or intestinal parasites and your veterinarian can rule in or out both of them. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
