My dog limps after lying down but still wants to run and play.

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 3 years and 5 months old | 95 lbs

My 3 year old chocolate lab has been off and on limping for about a week and a half or so. When he gets up from laying down he tends to limp when walking but he doesn’t seem like he’s in much pain. (No whinning of lameness) However he still wants to play, run around, and jumps when excited, acting like it doesn’t hurt... what is wrong? We have tried to keep him from going on stairs and from running but he still does it.

Maverick is probably suffering from a joint condition, you will have to take him to the vet so he can have a physical examination first, the vet might judge that he needs an xray as well in order to diagnose and treat his condition.
