Updated On September 23rd, 2025

My male cat blocked twice in June & again in July last year. After spending time in the hospital he is doing fine. No relapses. I feed him. c/d Science Hill wet & hard. Is it ok to give him boiled chicken on an occasion?

No. It is best to feed him the c/d diet only. Anything else you feed changes the pH of his urine which can cause crystal formation which leads to blockage. The c/d diet is formulated to keep the pH of the urine at a constant normal level to prevent crystal formation. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
