My rescue mama isn't eating or producing milk. Are her babies okay?

Just received a rescue of mama with 6 3wk olds. She is not eating n not sure if she's producing milk. I checked her nipples this afternoon n got a small amt out but just tried again this evening n got nothing

Unfortunately it’s a little difficult to give advice without knowing what species this mama is. If she is a dog or cat I’d recommend weighing the babies today and then continuing daily - if they’re not gaining weight you may need to supplement with formula. If the babies are crying constantly or otherwise seem hungry you may also need to supplement. If the mama continues to have a decrease in appetite you should have her examined by a vet. If you’ve never bottle fed babies before it would also be best to see a vet to go over the proper technique. Good luck!
