Hello, I have a 3-year old pitbull/boxer mix dog that’s been with my family since he was 8 weeks old. Next week, we will be bring home a great dane puppy. My dog has gotten along with dogs he’s met and played with in the past. Sometimes he can be a little to friendly and outgoing that he comes off as annoying to other dogs. Ever since we got him, he’s been the only dog and no other dog has ever set food in our home. What are some tips/ advice you have on how to introduce the 2 to each other?

Cute dogs! The best advice is to take it slow - allow them to first see each other through some kind of barrier but not necessarily be able to contact each other. A baby gate in a door is perfect. If there are any signs that Kyle is overwhelmed or the puppy is overwhelmed in the beginning they should be separate. It would be best to feed them in separate areas for awhile.
