My dog ate chicken bones, now has bloody stool and difficulty pooping.

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | 9 months and 9 days old

My dog ate chicken bones last night then this morning he is having a hard time to poop, and his poop is droplets of blood. My dog is still very active still drinking and eating. What should i do? Thanks

I would take Coco into a vet immediately. I'd be very concerned that the bones could be causing his difficulty pooping and blood in this feces. He could have an obstruction and/or damage to his GI tract. Please take him into a vet now. Best of luck.

    To help soften the stool you can offer a little bit of canned pumpkin. This may help the constancy, however, you'll want to be sure to keep an eye on him. If you notice any vomiting or blood in his stool you'll want to visit your local Veterinarian for possible bacterial overgrowth in the gut.
