Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 15 days old | 12 lbs
I was told that before breeding a small dog to think long and hard because small dogs are more prone to needing a C-section. However, Bailey isn’t really among one of those breeds to need one. My question is are they’re certain tests that need to be done before breeding her and if so, which ones do you recommend? She is a shih Tzu, bichon, Poodle.

You have plenty of time to worry about when to breed Bailey, as she shouldn't be bred until at least her second or third heat. As for tests, an over health check with the vet is best, checking her musculoskeletal systems, blood work and urinalysis, and chest x-rays to check her heart. I would have these tests done around when you are thinking of breeding her. I hope this helps!
