Pet's info: Cat | Burmese | Male | neutered | 8 years and 9 months old | 12 lbs
My 9 year old cat has had vomiting issues all his life, at first the bouts were only about once a year but over the years they became closer and my vet cannot find the cause. All blood tests being normal except for B12 deficiency, he’s had two 4 week courses of B12 + more B12 jabs with his many cerenia jabs which no longer work. My vet prescribed Cobalaplex, didn’t help, B12 with instrinsic factor not helping as still vomiting almost daily. He’s still playing/catching mice & not ill in himself.

Hello, thank your question about Kianti. Based on the symptoms and the low B12 that you report I would be concerned that Kianti could have underlying GI disease. If he hasn't had one already I would recommend pursuing an abdominal ultrasound so that the characteristics of his GI tract can be evaluated. Inflammatory bowel disease is a not uncommon condition in cats that can lead to chronic vomiting. This is usually diagnosed by ultrasound and can be managed with diet and other medications such as steroids depending on the severity of the disease. Hope this helps, good luck!
