Is homemade grass/lettuce liquid safe for my orphaned baby rabbit?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female | unspayed

I have blended a little bit grass and 2 lettuce together with 5 table spoons of water to make the grass and lettuce into liquid form so can I give this liquid form of grass and lettuce to my baby rabbits and his eyes are opened but cannot eat grass properly and his mother has died I couldn't find kitten milk replacer but for now can I give this to my bunnies I know most of the vets will say use kitten or PUPPY milk replacer but I just need to know that if I can use my homemade formula

Hello, again. There is hardly any nutrition in your homemade formula, & the rabbit will starve to death if you do this. If the baby rabbit is still nursing, it needs milk until it can switch to a herbivore diet. If you are unable to provide for the rabbit perhaps you can find a rescue who can properly provide what the rabbit needs. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
