Is my 3lb chihuahua's small size and calm nature normal for her age?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 3 years and 2 months old | 3.85 lbs

My chihuahua is not behaving as agressive as a chihuahua should be and she’s very small weighing only 3.85lbs and she’s also fully grown at 3 years old is that a bad thing?

You don't want Tiny to be aggressive, that's not a good trait for a dog to have, so I would consider it good that she isn't! Toy breed dogs are typically fully grown by one year of age, so no it's not a bad thing she is fully grown at three years old. Chihuahuas generally weigh between 2 and 6 pounds, so her weight is normal. i hope this helps!

I am wondering if she could be a different breed then you were told if you feel she is so small. As long as she isn't sick then it is just her and she may not get so big. Hello, how heavy should a full breed female Chihuahua bee I wasn't too sure of her weight and just guessed 30, but 30 seems to heavy or is it a normal weight?
Average female chihuahuas weigh around 6-8 pounds, but this range can vary widely. At a normal, healthy weight, you should be able to easily feel (but not see) Maggy's ribs and a "waistline". Your vet will be able to tell you if Maggy is at a healthy body weight, but 30 pounds seems quite high for an average chihuahua.

How much should a 4 month old chihuahua shih tzu mix weigh
Chihuahuas weight varies greatly during puppyhood and there is no specific weight chart that we use in practice. Instead we use a more accurate assessment of your puppy's weight, which is his/her body condition score (BCS) where 3/5 or 5/9 is considered an ideal weight. Your vet should be able to tell what the body condition score is easily by simply examining your pet. Also in puppies, unless you see vomiting or diarrhea symptoms, and they are getting feed the proper amount 3x a day, then chances are your pet is of proper weight. Also feel free to share a photo of your pet via consultation request, and we can tell you without a doubt whether your pup is proper weight or not.

Having her spayed at 4 years of age is taking a big chance health wise, she will be in high risk of mammary gland tumors. i would personally recommend having her spayed at the age of 6 months, before her first period. changes you can expect is mainly weight gain, but as long as you are on top of it she should not become obese.

This may be completely normal and could be due to the competition for space inside the uterus. Monitor his food intake and his body weight intensively for the first days and make sure he stays in a warm place all time. He could easily put on weight in the future and his size could result normal after few months.

Your Chihuahua sound like most Chihuahuas I see every day. Be patient and gentle. Once puppy vaccines are over, consider enlisting in puppy or behavior classes. Expose your puppy to new stimulus slowly but repetitively.. Positive reinforcement might be a key element. A treat given by a new person may go a long way.

What's the normal weight of an almost 3 month old female shih tzu? I'm afraid my baby's too small :(
Thanks for using Boop by Petco! There is no easy answer to that question, as a dog's appropriate weight is not just based on their breed but their individual body size. If your dog's ribs are visible or very easily felt, then it may be that she needs to put on a little weight. If her ribs are underneath a small layer of fat, she has a good appetite and is otherwise feeling well, she most likely is doing fine. If you are concerned, I would have her weight and body condition checked by her regular veterinarian to ensure that she doesn't have intestinal parasites or anything else that could be contributing to her appearing small. If Silver is almost three years old now, she should be completely finished growing - so I would not expect her to get any bigger. Some cats do stay very petite in size; this isn't necessarily abnormal, as long as she seems healthy otherwise. If she is eating and drinking fine, active, and not overly skinny then I wouldn't worry - she may just be a small kitty :)

Chico is such a handsome boy! He looks like a Pitbull and males can be around 35-60 pounds when fully grown. He still has a bit of growing to do, and he may be mixed with another breed of dog leading to his smaller size. Plus he is the runt, so they do tend to be smaller. I hope this helps!
